Statement of Faith

We affirm the Apostles creed in it’s entirety:
We believe in God, the Father Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
and born of the virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended into hell.
On the third day He rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven
and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.
From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead.
We believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy Christian church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.

However we also believe that true belief resides in the heart not the mind. We do not seek to persuade people to a worldview but to a spiritual transformation by the indwelling Spirit of Christ, accepted by grace through faith. As such, although teaching and spiritual understanding play a major part in the Christian faith, ultimately it is a faith and our doctrine spills from that faith rather than supports it. We have faith in the saving nature of His grace and mercy, not in our theology, and we seek, not primarily to comprehend God, but to incarnate Him.
