Everyone is valuable at the HUB, but here is a list of people who fill some of the more up-front roles:
Ross and Priscilla Ford: Priscilla is mother of five lovely children and a midwife. She facilitates and leads worship at the HUB from time to time. Ross works in the building industry, speaks and facilitates at the HUB from time to time, is a trustee of the HUB Trust.
Pete Johns: Pete leads worship on a regular basis. He is a drain layer by profession and developer of Little Eden’s garden template, with extensive community gardens experience and passionate advocate of local production and the healing power of growing food.
Grant and Katrina Andrew: Katrina is a Mum, a community worker and board member of local Breast Cancer awareness group. She oversees the food basket project – giving food and support to needy people that people within the HUB come into contact with. She is passionate about local missions through caring for our local community in practical ways. Grant is Trustee of the HUB, backbone supporter, know lots about most things and is hard to get a photograph of.
Clive McKegg: Clive teaches and leads worship at the HUB from time to time plus does a lot of the coordination and administration work and is a Trustee. He completed a Graduate Diploma at Laidlaw College a few years ago He blogs on culture and theology (sometimes) at Desert Watch.
Simone Jaunay: Simone is an community networker person and homeschooling mother of three children. She assists with Breakfast HUB programme in a local school along with a small team, and also facilitates the Help Your Neighbour programme – making opportunities for teams to help people with practical tasks – often solo mothers or families struggling financially. Carl Jaunay is Trustee and Chairman of the HUB Whangarei Trust. He is a horticulturalist running a large developing orchid operation. He works with Simone in the Help Your Neighbour and Breakfast HUB programmes, and leads at the HUB from time to time.
Michael and Lisa Taylor: Michael runs support groups (face-to-face and online) for Christian men struggling with porn/sex addiction. Similarly, Lisa runs groups for the wives of sex addicts and supports numerous women through her online ministry Beyond Betrayal. Both provide one-on-one support and mentoring for those affected by sex addiction and betrayal trauma. The Taylor’s also speak around the country on the topic of problem sexuality in church settings, youth groups, Christian camps, academic settings and more. Lisa and Michael are accredited with the International Association of Sex Addiction Specialists and are both studying towards masters degrees in Counselling.
